Re: INFORMIX WISH LIST

Tim and All, Please make sure that you attend the International Informix User Group annual meeting. It will be held at the end of one of the conference days at a Birds of a Feather session. The IIUG is working on starting an advocacy program, and all of your ideas and your participation are exactly what we need!!! Please come! If you have an interest in the direction of Informix and Informix products this is an opportunity for you to get involved. Informix has expressed a willingness to work with the IIUG. Please work with us to make this a reality. We have an opportunity here and we need your input and ideas! A lot of times you don't see IIUG board members making statements about some of the hot topics in this group because we all tend to have a concern that any personal statements we make will be reflected back on the IIUG as a whole. These are my personal statements in the sense that I have not run them by our IIUG board before posting them. But this advocacy program is probably the most major reason we had for forming the IIUG and the reason several of us devote quite a bit of our "free time" to this organization. There is room here not only to partipate in this vision, but to help form it. I look forward to seeing you at the conference - and in particular, show your support at the IIUG meeting! These BOF sessions are held at the end of the day when people are tired and are usually poorly attended - and last year we were competing with some magician who, rumour has it, tried to make Phil White disappear! But there is no better way of showing the strength of our organization than for each and every one of you to show you care and are willing to help make a difference. For those of you not attending, notes from the meeting (and the conference) will be posted to this newsgroup. Thanks for listening!
