The message of error is: invoke_alarm(): INFO: 1000 bytes in buffer but need 1317 errno 28 Should be increase the swap in the operating system, this happens with HP-UX Success!!

Should only mean that an alarm message didn't fit into the fixed size 1000 bytes buffer -> you should have received a truncated message instead. Don't know how errno 28 would be related, needed more context.
