Re: Micro$oft SQL Server 2005 (64 bit version) to IDS 9.40 Linked server
Posted in 2008
Have you run the coledbp.sql file from the CSDK folder on your IDS
server? If not do this first.
If you have, you may have an issues that I've also encountered. I've
had to first run doledbp.sql, then check sysmaster for any table or
stored procedure beginning with "ole" that may not have been deleted.
I had at least one remain, drop it. Once you are sure your sysmaster
is 'clean', then rerun coledbp.sql.
Also you may want to try sp_addlinkedserver without the @catalog
argument. We use:
EXEC master.dbo.sp_addlinkedserver @server = N'INFORMIX',
@srvproduct=N'IBM', @provider=N'Ifxoledbc',
@datasrc=N'mydb@idsserver', @provstr=N'decasr8=R8;DB_LOCALE=en_US.819'
