Rakesh,
Sorry, I didn't make myself very clear, I meant check that the indexes were not
corrupted. Use oncheck to do this (oncheck -ci databasename:tablename).
Good luck,
Sue

HI Sue,
Yes, We have got a unique index on tran_num and tran_date. But, I find that
there are duplicate records in the table. I do not understand why & how it
happens although we have got a unique index on it.
Thanks for your reply & please suggest me what to do?
Rakesh.

You could try checking the indexes on that table. Don't know if that will
help,
but I suppose it can't hurt.

Subject: problem with select/isql/dbaccess?
HI All,
I have got a strange problem with dbaccess/isql.
Through a 4GL code, I am inserting three records in a table. There is no
trigger or cascade delete on this table. A 4GL code runs properly without any
error message.
With dbaccess/isql, when i select records from this table, it gives me a
single row like.
select * from tab1 where tran_num = 6
(1 rows selected)
But, When I tried to delete the same row like.
delete from tab1 where tran_num = 6
(3 rows deleted)
I will appreciate any comments/solutions for it.
Thanks in advance,
Rakesh.

HI,
in IDS use oncheck but in SE you can use bcheck <dirtablename> or in dbaccess
check <tabname> with -i check only indexes and -s resize the index.
bye,
