Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
A user on Informix SE 5.x asked whether deleted rows could be recovered from a table that hadn't been touched since the errant DELETE. The answers were that there is no undelete command and the only real option is restoring from an archive/backup; the only in-engine equivalent is ROLLBACK WORK within an open transaction (not applicable after a committed delete). A poster plugged a commercial file-level undelete product (Recover98), but was challenged to prove it could recover rows inside a database and offered no evidence. No way to recover the committed rows was found.

Can I recover deleted rows from an Informix Table?
The table still exists, and has not been accessed or modified since the
errant deletion.
IS there a utility available to undelete these?
restore from an archive....no easy way to do what you want....there's no
undelete command

At the risk of starting a new thread, I have this question to ask about
the lack of an undelete:
"If not, why not?"

Do you actually profess that this package, Recover98, can recover a
row deleted from within a database? Tell us how this works, provide
some technical proof. Do you have full-function trial software
available? (after the technical proof, please).

There is a sort of an undelete, it's called "rollback work".
