I do not know HPUX, but this is a general UNIX restriction. All "Standard" UNIX
systems have a maximum file size of 2 GB due to the fact that "size_t" used in
file operations is a 4 byte integer (only positive values used). I'm afraid that
unless you have a system that allows something like "Large File Enabled File
System" (as AIX starting with 4.2, using 8 byte integers for size_t) you will
have only two possibilities: either split into files each less than two GB or
unload to tape.
