4GL Open Window question

In 4gl I have simple open window statements written as follows. OPEN WINDOW w_main AT 1,1 WITH FORM m_main_form ATTRIBUTE (..., ..., ...) The same program is ported on two different RS6000 machines. When the frm file is not present on disk, the AIX 3.2.5 Informix 5.05 UC1 correctly returns the status of -1110. On AIX 4.3.1, Informix 7.24 uc5, the program core dumps upon execution of OPEN WINDOW statement. Why does OPEN WINDOW statement behave differently on two machines? Can we do something to return the correct status on the second machine? Thanks!!!
