Informix Environment Variables

Hi, where is the best place to launch a script to set the environment variables? Should they be set in the bash_profile so when the informix user opens a shell, they get set right there or somewhere else?
Typically people create scripts to configure the whole Informix environment and for convenience these scripts are called from the bash_proifle or .profile etc. Regards On Mon, Apr 10, 2017 at 1:51 PM, BENJI LONG <ruggedmouse@hotmail.com> wrote: > Hi, where is the best place to launch a script to set the environment > variables? In my Linux environment, I want all users to have the Informix environment variables so I put a profile script in /etc/profile.d that is sourced in for every user. If you only want specific users to have these environment variables set, then you can include them in each user's bash_profile.
