Error -951 when the user-id is vali

Error -951 when the user-id is valid. We are running INFORMIX-OnLine Dynamic Server 7.10.UC1 on a Sun SPARCc 2000 running Solaris 2.4. We have been running in this environment fo The problem first occurred two days ago. Executing the Ilogin applica the -951 every time (assuming the host name and service name were spec correctly). The database itself appeared to be fine, based on successf of dbaccess sessions. It became apparent that the problem was not just client/server issue when I ran onmonitor. The status line included th "Network Down". The online.log gets a 951 entry with the user informi onmonitor is run. Furthermore, within onmonitor, if I select Logical-Logs, and then Data instead of getting a list of databases and their pertinent information I get the messages: "Error writing to network" and "Cannot access data catalog TBLspace."
