Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I have Informix 7.22 on SCO Unix 5.0.3.
Informix works ok but when I connect trougth DBAccess (Menu Connection)
I get error '952 -User's password is not correct for the database
server.'
with additional information 'Permision denied !'
Service in /etc/services is online 1540/tcp.
Hosts is ok!
host_ip <host_name>
Sqlhost: <server_name> ontlitcp <host_name> online !
In onconfig nettype is set tlitcp.
Same situation is with ODBC !
What's wrong ?
Thanks for any answers !

OK, but in dbaccess you are using the CONNECTION>CONNECT menu item and
providing a username and password. Either the password you entered does
not match that user's password or the username you supplied is not a
valid user at the OS level. Sqlcode -952 is about an invalid username or
password (usually password). Can you connect to the database if you just
do:
dbaccess databasename
If that works for the currently logged in username (assuming that user
has connect permissions or better to database 'databasename') then check
the username and password you are entering.
