Austin Why doesnt update ststistics work? Error message? Messages log? What update stats syntax did you use? Dropping indexes is wasting your time!! The description goes on to say that I must update statistics for the table and if that doesn't work then call tech support. Well, update statistics didn't work (please don't any of you tell me to call tech support :-) ), any ideas on what else I could try. If I can't figure out anything, I'll drop the indexes and rebuild them but I'll have to do that when no one is using the table, in the mean time I'm looking for another solution. Thanks Austin
