I have the problem that if I connect from my application to an online on a server that has died (If I knew it was dead I wouldn't try to connect) my program hangs on the connect statement. There doesnt seem to be any way to set a timeout to abort the connect after so many seconds. The client s/w I'm running is release 6.0 for SVR4. Informix Technical support does not have any solution.
