Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

well, the ducks might all be in a row, but one of them might be
facing the other direction...;-)
are you sure that your system is looking at the local /etc/services?
or is it looking at the NIS (or hp equiv of sun's NIS) file? did you insert
that line into the global services file and then propogate it?
i'm not familiar with hp, but i assume you have something like
ypcat services. this will show you the network services file, and tell you
if your entry is there.
otherwise it does look ok.
let me know.
