I have installed Informix Dinamic Server 7.3 in a redhat Linux 6.0.
Before I had installed it in redhat Linux 5.2. I followed the same steps
that i make in redhat 5.2 . In red hat i can connect with the
database,etc..
In red hat 6.0 The server runs correctly .But if I try to connect (in
java with jdbc or in the client DBACCESS) with one user that exist in
the database(user informix or other) the database send me this error:
Running . . .11:31:33 listener-thread: err = -952: oserr = 0: errstr =
: User's password is not correct for the database server.
952: User's password is not correct for the database server. No such file or directory
Do you now what could it be?

Hello
Informix always uses OS authentication, i.e. the user must be an existing
unix user.

True. More significantly, though, it doesn't handle PAM (Pluggable
Authentication Modules).
If you are using shadow passwords or MD5 password (is that right?) then it
doesn't work.
