Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Using recycled bits, Phill Edwards blurted out:
%I have just installed Red Hat Informix on Debian Linux 2.0.34. When
%I run dbaccessdemo7 I get the error
%
%369 Invalid Serial Number
%
%and the demo database is not created.
You didn't install the product correctly. `finderr -369' explains:
[kwall@hoser kwall]$ finderr -369-369 Invalid serial number. Please consult your installation
instructions.
Some error has been made in the installation of your Informix
product(s). Check the value in the SQLEXEC environment variable (for
database server versions prior to 6.0) and INFORMIXDIR environment
variable; then consult the person who installed the software, and
review the installation instructions
%Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Re-install per the instructions at
