Dear Ria, As of 7.10.UD1 USERTHREADS, TRANSACTIONS, TBLSPACES, CHUNKS and DBSPACES are now dynamically assigned by the engine. This is explained in the Guide to 7.1 Feature Enhancements manual, chapter 1. To actually change the maximum number of connections to a database you have to set the NETTYPE parameter. There is a set of values for each net type ie ipcshm. The NETTYPE parameter is described in the System Admin guide. HTH, Jason Harris (RSWA)
