Hi, Informix online 5.10 on HP-UX 11.00 K class server. The current settings in the config file for no of users as follows USERS 800 # Maximum number of concurrent user processes TRANSACTIONS 800 # Maximum number of concurrent transactions Could anyone please tell what is the max value these parameters can be set to and how it will affect the system performance (OS & DB view)? Hi John, The maximum USERS and TRANSACTIONS values allowed in OnLine 5 environment is 999. When you increase these values, there will be increase in log buffer sizes and you will need more locks.
