advice on aix 3.2 upgrade required

We are considering upgrading our AIX from 3.1.5 to the latest 3.2 (3.2.1 or 3.2.2 whichever we can get this side of pond) for our rs6k 520. I would like to know what problems this might cause, specifically with our Informix products. We have a product written in V4.00.UE2 I4GL and I have had conflicting stories (from Informix UK & a couple of UK suppliers) about whether we need to upgrade to 4.10, obtain a new port, or do nothing. If anyone else out there has been there, seen it, done it, or bought the T-shirt I would be grateful for any advice that can be offered.
