This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------60772B1C0812E1D4C4D0791D Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I wouldn't make a dbspace over the NFS. I've seen that solution somewhere, but I dislike it .... Maybe you should consider HDR. That's why it exists ... Carlton Doe in his Book Administering Infomix Dynamic Server on Windows NT suggests on page 16. that there are no significant performance benefits from using raw disk spaces on NT. Thus if he is right one should be able to use regular NTFS disk space for database elements. Can anyone elaborate further on this? Does anyone have difficulties to report in this respect? I for one would be interested in hearing about any such difficulties. Thanks in advance and a merry Christmas to you all. --- Arni Thoroddsen arnith@loki.bok.hi.is Radu Dumitriu wrote: > This is a multi-part message in MIME format. > --------------60772B1C0812E1D4C4D0791D > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii > Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit > > I wouldn't make a dbspace over the NFS.
