Albany, NY area Full time, non contract Informix DBA. Performs installation, configuration testing and product support. Problem solving, interacts with support units, customer and manages vendor relations. Interfaces with internal and external technical entities to advise, consult and coordinate tasks relevant to job function Supports software product installation, maintenance and adaptation ranging from the DB to other various third party products. Evaluates and has input on product assessments. Provides off hours and weekend support as necessary. Support one of the worlds largest image based data entry applications FLEETWORKS. Proficient in shell scripting, SQL and adhoc reporting/queries. INFORMIX version 5 through version 7 desirable. Experience with Oracle, Sybase or other database products relevant. Experience with FloWare, HP-UX 10.x, HP Omniback products, OnBar, JAVA, C coding, 4GL, also desired. Salary commensurate with experience.
