I'm using sync mode because I didn't think it necessary to run async, it's a
local network with both servers the same spec. It works well.
The only problem I've seen with sync mode is if your 2nd server cannot keep
up with the volumes from the primary - Their resident DBA and the management
refused to acknowledge what I was telling them :(
