And here in the midwest we have this thing called weather.... BTW jgp you divide by 1.43 That is that the $1.43 USD gets you 1 Euro. As to driving... >From Boston to Chicago, you're between 14-18 hours depending on how fast you drive, number of breaks and weather. Chicago to Lenexa. You're between 7-10 hours depending on how fast you drive, number of breaks and weather. AND IF THERE'S Road construction... fugetaboutit. For those who really want to travel first class... Take a business class flight to Chicago. Then get a group of 10 or so people* and rent a corporate jet. Depending on the size of the jet and the number of people, it will cost about the same as a first class ticket. And with those bargin rates you'll save due to the exchange rate (Even Canadians get a break), you can travel in luxury. > Subject: RE: Kansas City, gateway to ..... > Date: Thu, 20 Dec 2007 08:58:01 +0100 > From: Joerg@it-volz.de > To: jgp@jgp.net; informix-list@iiug.org > > I try to work my boss paying for Kansas, so wish me luck. > > Jean: You need a german driver, you french guys also have a handicap named speed limit, we don´t ;-) > > regards, > Joerg Volz > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: informix-list-bounces@iiug.org > > [mailto:informix-list-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of Jean > > Georges Perrin > > Sent: Thursday, December 20, 2007 8:09 AM > > To: 'Sebastian, Norma J.'; 'Neil Truby'; informix-list@iiug.org > > Subject: RE: Kansas City, gateway to ..... > > > > I guess I'll land in Boston, ask stuart to pick me up and > > we'll drive the > > Corvette to KC, with my driving, it'll take a few hours (of fun)... > > > > ;-) > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Sebastian, Norma J. The Sunday of the pre- conference sessions and greeting dinner is the last day of Passover which ends at around 8:33 because DST will be in effect, so I can't leave until at least 9:30 (I'm about 35 mins from Newark airport so event that's pushing it). The last flight that night is shortly after 9:30 and it has a stopover of several hours that gets me into KC at around 10AM Monday morning. The first flight out on Monday at about 5:30AM has a 40 minute stopover that puts me on the same flight into KC arriving around 10AM. Thought about driving it, how long could that take? I don't mind the drive! Well, turns out it takes about 13hours and factoring in that I drive fast, if I leave at 9PM Sunday I get into Overland Park sometime after 10AM Monday morning. It's a conspiracy! Maybe a bus or train ride overnight - at least I'd get some sleep that way. I guess I could come down on Friday and spend the last two days of the holiday in KS. I wonder if Jerry K. would mind a house guest that weekend who only eats Passover food? Just kidding Jerry! I'm no certain I'd survive making the announcement here at home. Art S. There are non-stop flights from New York LaGuardia to Kansas City via Midwest Airlines (My favorite airline) I see a flight leaving at 6:30AM Monday the 28th, arriving in KC 8:35 AM. No problem. :-) Cindy -----Original Message----- From: informix-list-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:informix-list-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of Art S.
