Locking errors, in my experience, can result in -233, -263, and -378 errors, or in -246, -271, or -346 errors that are accompanied with the ISAM code -107, -143, -144, or -154. (If there is a single place in the documentation that describes what error code are returned by which statements, I'd be interested. The 5.0x manuals I'm working from give all the error numbers, but not which statements can cause which errors.
