The "stty istrip" problem was encountered by R&D during the development of 6.00, but the fix was also used in the 4.12.UD1 release of ISQL (and all the I4GL Tools). The problem was caused by using <sgttyb.h> structures to address the terminal handling, and a nasty side effect of these very old structures was that the extra information for ISTRIP was clobbered. The fix was to modernize the code to use the <termios.h> data structures. This was fixed as part of the work on B24162, though the description of that bug bears no resemblance to the underlying problem. Yours, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h>
