Tried to reply by mail, but your address isn't all there. In article <3aqb96$o4g@sunrise.pg.gda.pl>, you write: |> Is there anywhere FREE versions of Informix? I am interested in |> learning this laungage using my home PC with Linux on board. |> Any help apreciated. If You know that for SURE there is no such a thing, |> then PLEASE inform me about it. Thank You! |> Krzysztof Bialas If you mean Informix Inc, then I'd be very surprised if a commercial company was giving away any of its products. If you mean SQL (Structured Query Language) there are a couple that I know about: 1. msql (mSQL?) - strict subset of ANSI SQL, network aware, small, not enormously powerful (no joins). 2. shql - Implementation of SQL as *shell*scripts*! - slow but acceptable for learning purposes. ask your local archie. -- Cheers Bill Bill Hails <bill@tardis.co.uk> Tel (UK) 0483 300 200
