I have had very fair experience with both OpenLink and several other ODBC drivers. All I said above whas that I hadn't tested the UDBC product from OpenLink or Informix CLI *on Unix*. My experience is using ODBC on MS Windows (3.1, 95 and NT). I don't currently program at a level where this would be interesting for me on Unix. I am using 4GL and will be using Java (and JDBC and possibly other connectivity) on Unix. : :--------- :Engineers believe that the equations approximate reality. :Physicists believe that reality approximates the equations. :Mathematicians never make the connection.
