Seems typically Informix: every release one can question himself: which bugs are solved, which are new and which solved bugs are back again? Solution in our case was removing all calls to our debug routine that is called extremely often. Seems that every time the NE event handler jumps into a function call it is assigned 64KB of temporary storage which should be sufficient to deal with all triggered function calls. Frido
