Force dropping a dbspace

I have a temporary dbspace I'm trying to blow away, and I can't seem to do
it with 'onspaces -d tempdbs' because it claims the space is not empty. I
checked the contents of the dbspace with 'oncheck -pe' and all it showed to
be in the dbspace was a series of tblspace tblspace's and free pages. There
shouldn't be anything important in there because it's a temporary dbspace,
and the 'oncheck -pe' didn't show any tables or indices, so I just want to
blow it away. Isn't there a way to force drop a dbspace? Any help you
could give would be greatly appreciated!
Place a call with informix tech support.
They will want you instance in single user mode. Then they will modify
the structures......

Before you buy.
tablespace tablespace entries ARE tables. These are likely old temp tables
that have not been cleaned up yet. Under certain conditions some temp
tables are not completely removed until the engine is bounced. Try that.

Oncheck -pe should list all tables in the chunk (by name), if you see no
tables and just tablespace tablespace entries it's possible that the
engine is a little confused.
I would hope the gentleman has already bounced his instance and retried,
if he has and the tablespace tablespace (and no real tables) are all
thats listed then Informix 'can help'. In anycase they will check the
chunk throughly before they 'sort it out'.
I had Informix (UK) Tech Support force drop me a chunk from the billing
instance about 2 weeks ago for symptoms that sound very similiar. Mine
was a data chunk rather than temp one though.
They'll want the engine single user though.
