copying with UNIX informix tables.

I have recently read a message in this newsgroup that gave a possible safe solution in order to copy Informix tables to another directory. I would like to ask which are the problems that may be caused if you simply copy these tables with UNIX, for eaxmple: cp /usr/stores/store.dbs/* /usr2/store2/store.dbs The reason I am asking this that currently an old customer of mine came and inform me that they have changed their system and they have moved the database to another location. But until now they have not any problems. But, searching a little (and because I understand more about UNIX than Informix) I run the following commands: cd /usr/stores/store.dbs strings * And unfortunately I found out that in one of those files "systable..." something there were some fullpthnames for some of the tables respectively. I do not know when those pathnames are stored in this file and when they are not. For information only, I do not know if this is important or not, I have used Informix 1.10 and still the program is running under this version of Informix. I would appreciate if someone could give me an answer at least for the last question.
