Intersolv ODBC errors...HELP

Okay, I am getting ODBC errors when running Access queries building local tables from linked Informix tables. These errors really have no rhyme or reason when they happen, other than we lose the ODBC connection. All of this worked when I was running Informix 7.2 workgroup on a SCO platform using only 1 processor, due to the box dying, I had to recreate the table on a new Dell Poweredge server running 2 processors running RedHat6.2 and IDS 7.3. The old onconfig NETTYPE was set up for tlitcp,1,20,NET, and the sqlhost file had the entry for oltlitcp for the service. oltli is not an acceptable entry for the IDS7.3 on linux and i'm now using onsoctcp and have no idea what is happening and why. I'm sure sure some of this is vague, but this is just a plea for anyone that may have run across this already and has a solution.
