password masking?

Does anyone have a way to mask a password being put into an entry field in Informix by chance? (you know, showing ***** when the password is put in, not using the invisible attribute). Needs to be done in 4gl...no 'c' code...thank you...(dont want a custom runner)... thanks James MCS Limited Hamilton Bermuda

Got to use 'C' and create that custom runner if you want to show asterisks. Sorry. Art S.
