I do not know Informix on WindowNT. But on UNIX, you can simply copy $INFORMIX/etc/sm_version.std to $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sm_version. Or remove /nsr directory and fire ism_startup again. <cmclane@my-deja.com> wrote in message news:8f7agn$3qn$1@nnrp1.deja.com... > Hi, I am new to the Informix world and am having a problem with ONBAR > under Windows NT. Hi, I am new to the Informix world and am having a problem with ONBAR under Windows NT. I've already setup and mounted the locations for the logical log files but when I run ONBAR -l I get a message in the bar_servername.log file that states "Unable to open file C:\\PROGRA~1 \\informix/etc/sm_versions No such file or directory 2000-05-08 13:52:23 122 122 C:\\PROGRA~1\\informix\\bin\\onbar_d complete, returning 142 (0x8e) It appears that it is looking in the /etc (UNIX) directory instead of the \\etc directory for NT. I can't figure out where it is getting this path from as I need to modify it for use in NT. Thanks very much in advance for your help. Chris Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
