Hi, When I add a new user to the so, it is necesary to add this user to the informix group? Thanks in advance.
No! No-one should be added to group informix, in general. Only user informix should belong to group informix. You can use the DBSA and related groups (AAO, DBSSO) mechanism if you need to have people able to administer Informix without being user informix. Granted, the default group for the DBSA and AAO and DBSSO is group informix, but that's actually one of the reasons why you shouldn't add people to group informix; it means they have essentially complete control over Informix. Thats what a think. I doubt about it because I just receive a server in which the users were added to the informix group when they were added to the operative system, anyway, I will remove them from informix group. Thanks you very much. > El 07/10/2017, a las 23:01, Jonathan Leffler <jonathan.leffler@gmail.com> escribió: > > No! > > No-one should be added to group informix, in general.
