Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

When running onstat -d we often see the "1001" value under "flags". It goes
away after a short time. I can't find anything in the doc's but I assume it
might be cleaners working Anyone know for sure?

I assume you're referring to the dbspace flags - a value of 0x1001 means
that the dbspace is not mirrored (0x0001), and at least one table was
dropped since the last checkpoint (0x1000).
