Hello: I've discovered a great utility which executes OS commands from a procedure(SYSTEM is the one). I wonder is there something similar but for a 4gl program instead?. Since you can run any O/S command you can run any 4gl program too. If you are in a compiled 4GL just run myprogram.4ge (or whatever it is) or in RDS use "fglgo myprogram" HTH Michael Juan Ignacio Carbajal Rivera wrote: >Hello: >I've discovered a great utility which executes OS commands from a >procedure(SYSTEM is the one). >I wonder is there something similar but for a 4gl program instead?. >REGARDS > > >*********************************** >Juan I Carbajal R. >AUDITOR DE FRAUDE INTERNACIONAL >INTERNATIONAL FRAUD AUDITOR >RADIOMOVIL DIPSA SA de CV >AV Ej'rcito NAL #488 Col. Isn't the same as RUN <cmd> Anyway not that I'm aware of, if you want to do that then I'd suspect you are off to C land. > > Regards > > Stefan > > Paul Watson wrote: > > > Run [without waiting] ? > > > Juan Ignacio Carbajal Rivera wrote: > >> > >> Hello: > >> I've discovered a great utility which executes OS commands from a > >> procedure(SYSTEM is the one). > >> I wonder is there something similar but for a 4gl program instead?. > >> REGARDS > >> > >> *********************************** > >> Juan I Carbajal R. > >> AUDITOR DE FRAUDE INTERNACIONAL > >> INTERNATIONAL FRAUD AUDITOR > >> RADIOMOVIL DIPSA SA de CV > >> AV Ej'rcito NAL #488 Col. Hi Paul, "without waiting" is an option. Thank you for that new input. Without reading the manual: Is there a command which performs the "wait(pid)", too ?
