IDS 11.5 - AIX 53 - Open Admin

Hi folks, Is there a way to use OAT on AIX with IDS 11.5 ? I didn't find it (OAT for AIX) to download on ibm website? Thansk. OAT is all PHP and so should be portable to any environment. I don't believe there are any platform specific versions. Art Art S. Ok. Can I install the linux package on the "UNIX" ? Hi Andre, I think you can use the .tar file. Steps to get the latest version would be: - Go to openadmintool.org - Click on "Download latest version" on the right - It will take you to "IBM Informix Free Product Download" page, enter IBM login and pwd - On the Offering page, select radio button "IBM Informix Free Product Download" for AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Mac, and Windows. Click on "Continue" - Select the OpenAdmin Tool (OAT) for IDS packaged as a tar file, which should work for Unix systems: Informix IDS OpenAdmin Tool for tar file oatidsV2.26_071009.tar (15 MB) Hope it helps. It's me again. I downloaded the file just like Veronica said. I'm feel myself like a monkey. How can I install it ? There's a lot of file but no executable file. What do I have to do now? Oi Andre, OAT's automated installation is available for platforms like Windows, Linux, MacOS 64. For platforms like AIX, a manual install is required. There are instructions for this manual installation under the 'Manual Installation' section in the README file (this readme, in both txt and html formats is located under the current directory after we untar the OAT tar file). Hope that following the steps in there help. One think to be aware of is that you do not need to install OAT on the database server. If you want to monitor IDS 11.5 on AIX you can install OAT on your local PC, linux, mac which has network connectivity= to you database server. The database server requires no software to be installed on it to use OAT. You local PC then can monitor and administer 1 or more IDS servers. John F.
