Hi.. It´s possible to create a constraint from a synonym? I have a synonym that "points" to a table from other db. Can I create a foreign key constraint of that table/synonym? Thanks. ------WebKitFormBoundaryhc+PpaVmAs3TSkvi

Triggers, constranints, ecc... are now allowed in synonym or view ! Only in TABLE ... BR > To: ids@iiug.org > From: domusonline@gmail.com > Subject: Re: Foreign key in other db------WebKitFormBou.... No, you cannot. You should take the IIUG Features survey that was announced a few days ago. One of the questions asks if having the ability to create foreign keys to other databases would be useful. What you can do is to duplicate the table in the local database and add triggers to the primary copy (or use ER if you are licensed for it) to keep this duplicate copy up-to-date. Then you can put the constraint on the local copy. Art Art S.
