Other than what Art offers in utils_ak, there are also Solaris Volume Manager applications that may give you what you are looking for. vxdg -g disk_group free yields the free space and offset by disk device. The output is in disk sectors. vxprint -ht yields volume information, including the underlying disk layout of each volume. The output is in disk sectors. These and other commands are documented in the Solaris Volume Manager User Guide. HTH, Milton J. That will show you what parts of the disk are assigned to logical devices, which aspace cannot do; but now what parts of the devices are being used by Informix so these are complementary tools for sure.
