RE: aio vp confusion again

Certain swear words have a different amount of severity dependent on the Country and Culture they are used in. The particular work used is considered extremely vulgar and disgusting in England and as such I took exception to it's use. I'd hate to have to consider leaving a technical news list because certain individuals cannot curb their language when sending stuff to the International Community. All I'm asking is for common courtesy. Oh I forget some of you are Americans and probably don't know what courtesy is. Really sounds like you are... I thought it was not uncommon for people to use mild slang to setup a kind of chummy casualness - same way that smileys are used in this poorly inflected medium we lovingly call e-mail. You must think I'm a real foul mouth, from some of the Aussie vernacular I slip in? Are there many people with issues on language, or can we stay relaxed? I don't want to offend anyone, but I'm not going to live in a monestary...
Oh, I see, so fairly common and (in the West Midlands at least) relatively inoffensive swear words are bad but racial/national insults and stereotyping are OK? -- Tony Flaherty Snr.
