RE: Memory on IDS 7.31 for NT

When you start Informix (oninit) up it requests the memory as defined by parameters in your configuration file. The answer is YES, this is normal - for your configuration. We are running Windows NT4 with service pack 6. Each time I re-boot the server, the same, in my opinion, massive amount of memory is instantly used and held. Around 454228k is permanantly in use by oninit.exe, while there are no users on the system! Is this normal? The server keeps giving us "out of virtual memory errors" and this is getting quite worrying. Any help you can give would be much appreciated.
