Dunno if it helps - but if your users are a bit novice
you could alias the isql command :
alias "isql=echo"
(works under ksh, not sure about the others)
But the obvious way of doing it is to put an "isql"
file in any directories references first in the PATH:
PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:$HOME/bin:$INFORMIXDIR/bin
so create one in /bin (BTW:THIS IS BAD PRACTICE ! normally
used create a /local/bin or something similar and make sure
that is in everyones path)
The program could do anything...
The advantage of this is they can still get access by typing
$INFORMIXDIR/bin/isql - but they're not likely to know that.
