Porting Informix-4GL to Windows-NT OS

As I understand, Informix doesn't have any plans of porting Informix-4GL to Windows NT OS. Our company would like to be able to run our Informix-4GL application on the NT platform. We are planning on porting the application to a GUI environment, but we feel that in some situations, especially in industrial environments, a character-based terminal (such as a Wyse 50) will suffice in running the application. Some companies don't have the resources to purchase a PC for every workstation and an inexpensive character-based terminal will hold up better in that environment. Our application runs on the Unix OS, so I'm very familiar with that, but not with NT. Will NT support character-based terminals? It would be great if Informix would port Informix-4GL to the NT OS.
