Rename rootdbs PATH

We have a system that we wish to move to use
symbolic links, without having to create a new instance and move the data
across using dbexport / dbimport.
For dev we have a script that alters the rootdbs directly by doing a string
replacement but obviously this is not going to be supported by IBM for
production.
Thanks
Dear Darren,
In IDS 9.4 ontape and onbar have an option to rename chunks during a cold
restore.
ontape and onbar will display a usage on the syntax.
(see IBM Informix backup and Restore Guide for 9.4 for details )
If you are not on 9.4 , I guess export and re-import of the whole DB is the
sole supported option.
Regards
Tilman

IDS 9.40 has 'redirected restore' which allows you change chunk device
names during restore.
