What we have done is install Informix-CLI on the client machines and configure is using SetNet (for of I-CLI) and ODBC to require the user to provide a password at execution time. We use IDS 7.x and configured in to accept ontlitcp/onsoctcp connection, You would probably use I-STAR on your server? They when Crystal wants access to the DB a window pops up to allow the user authentification. With Crystal 6, we discovered that for us it was more stable to install CLI, then Crystal, and make sure we were using CLI's ODBC drivers instead of whan Crystal provided. I believe it was more stable and gave better support. > >Any suggestion will be valuable to me. Thanks a bunch. > >Melvyn. S.W.
