onsmsync work slowly

Hello, We work with IDS 9.4.UC6 on Sun Solaris and Veritas NetBackup. We launched last week (Thursday) "onsmsync -g 15" to synchronize NetBackup with Sysutils Database and the utility is not finished yet (5 days run!!!). The Utility run for the first time since 2 years and my question is: it is possible to run the utility more quickly for the first time ? Thanks a lot Daniel Gilliéron Swisscom IT Services AG Bern

You can check with the Netbackup admin and see if they are indexing the Netbackup catalogs. There are other performance considerations on the Netbackup side that could speed the process up, although since the command is already running you may want to just allow it to complete. Also, depending on how much logging is enabled on Netbackup's components (media server, master server, etc.) you could check logs to be sure that the command is indeed processing. Mike
