blobs

Hi, I want to migrate with one database from Informix IDS 7.3 to engine IDS 9.4 - database is using tables with blobs. Which utility is the best to perform this ? I think dbexport / dbimport can serve migration, but I have no expierience with moving, exporting, importing blobs. Or there is any better scenario with migrations tables with blobs? Hi, Dbexport/import handles blobs (e.g byte columns) with hex notations. So this is of course a way to migrate data. But it could be slow. From 7.3 to 9.4, you should be able to do an in-place upgrade. This is also a possible way, but you have to take a look if you have enough temp space and physical log (as the partition structures are modified during upgrade). See the upgrade manual for details.
