Using ROWID for sorting on OWS

Hi all: I have a customer using Borland Delphi as front-end to an Informix Database. Delphi has an utility for browsing a database table data (database desktop) wich builds the query sorting by ROWID. Ex. SELECT ROWID, * FROM table_name ORDER BY ROWID It works fine on INFORMIX-SE, but recently they move to OWS and it hangs forever. It's using a non-fragmented table (with rowids). I have read about the problems using rowids as database access key and about portability. I know about the problems using rowids on fragmented tables too. I asked to informix support and they recommended to change the query. Now I have to work with Borland... Meanwhile, I'm a little curious...
