Hello, Robert, unfortunately You did not mention the version of the Connect You are using and what "no efect" means, but I assume You cannot even find the database server. In the later versions of Informix Connect there is a tool called SetNet32. After invoking it You will be able to enter Your Database Server in the corresponding card page. Other pages enable You to enter the host, user and other parameters for connecting to Your ODS but can be entered in the ODBC Driver Setup as well. But SetNet is the only place I know to where to tell the Connect about Your server (without patching around in the Windows registry).
