JAM 5.0/Relay Module/OnlIne 7.1
Posted in 1995
Does anyone have experience with an environment like the one mentiooned in the "Subject" line? We just upgraded op sys this weekend and OnLine from 5.0 to 7.1. I was told by JYACC(JAM) that their executables, in conjunction with the Relay Module should work as they did before the upgrade because JAM simply uses ESQL/C to get to the server. I know the Relay Module works because if I set INFORMIXDIR to the directory containing the old (5.0) executables and set SQLEXC to "/usr/informixlib/sqlrm" I can access databse with old tools. When I run the existing JAM application, some of the functionality works. After looking at the makefile, I find that those sections that work were simply compiled using ESQL/C and not the JAM libs. I am writing this as I wait to hear from JYACC. If anyone has a thought about this subject please e-mail or call me at 908-457-5170.
