RE: informix server 7.3 configure question?

As user informix what does dd if=/export/home/informix/ifmxdata/rootdb.000 tell you. If data is getting out and in then there shouldn't be any problems. Hi Joseph, I hope I'm not repeating an answer you already have but did you: oninit? Or oninit -i? The very first time you bring the engine up you have to oninit -i to initialize the disk structures Informix needs. Please be careful that you have your environment variables setup right and that there isn't already another Informix instance on the machine before you run this.
